In my opinion, every bride should consider booking a pre-wedding boudie session for a multitude of reasons. This blog post gives you a sneak into a bridal gallery AND goes through all the reasons you should add this experience to your list!!

I want to gently remind brides that if you're planning on gifting a boudie session and/or products for your big day, you need a minimum of 8-10 weeks between session date and when you want products in hand for! Typically I say aim to have your products in hand 1-2 weeks prior to the wedding so you're not scrambling last minute! 💍 ⁠ ⁠ April is going to be the month that my 🌸JUNE🌸 (or later) brides are going to want to be booking!! Let me let you in on why a pre-wedding bridal boudie sesh is a good idea 👀👇🏼⁠ ⁠ ✨ WEDDING PLANNING IS STRESSFUL DUDE?!?! You 1 million percent deserve to throw something on the agenda that is designed to do the exact opposite. The stress of lining up all your vendors, deciding colours and guest lists and food etc, having to manage rsvp's can all be A LOT to handle. Even if you have a planner covering these things for you, I'm willing to bet the planning stress is still present. This is the perfect opportunity to take a moment for you. To allow myself and my team to make you feel like a GODDESS ⁠ ⁠ 💍 MOST clients that come into my studio have never been professionally photographed before & I'm willing to guess that this is the case for a lot of brides as well. Big, fancy cameras and having your photo taken can be SCARY as shit, I get it. But this gets you in front of a camera in a more vulnerable way so by the time wedding photos come along- it'll feel like a piece of cake!!⁠ ⁠ 🕊️ CONFIDENCE. This kind of goes hand in hand with my last point about not being used to getting professional photos done. One super common thing I hear from clients both in their inquiry forms and in the studio is things along the lines of "I'm not photogenic" "I hate having my photo taken" "I never look good in photos" I TOTALLY understand how you can feel uncomfy having your photo taken when you shy away from the camera in your daily life often or when you feel like every photo you take is horrible. This session gives you a peek through a different lens. (pun intended) That little voice in your head will without a doubt be a lot quieter when you're riding the confidence high of ROCKING your boudie sesh. ⁠ ⁠ LASTLY (yes, LASTLY) it's a killer gift for your partner IF you'd like it to be. I put this last because when you come in for your session if you lead with the mindset "I'm ONLY doing this for my partner" you leave a huge chunk of the experience benefits on the table. You get out of your session what you put in. So head into it with the mindset of "This is for my growth, my healing and for my main character journey and it just so happens to also be an amazing gift" 🫶🏼 ⁠ ⁠

I know, I know- It's November 7th and I'm over here posting beach photos still 🥲 This was the last sunrise session I shot this year before summer so tragically ended and I was absolutely not going to let this sit in the archives until next summer 🤪 ARE WE KIDDING?! THE WAVES WERE ✨✨PAID ACTORS!!!✨✨ I shit you not when I say some of these waves were coming up 5, 6 feet after smashing the sides of the pier. I could not have asked for a more perfect morning for a gorg sunrise session for realllll 🥲🥲🥲🥲

Although I've shared all my creative concepts for halloween this year, I can't let Halloween pass without sharing this incredible pumpkin head session 🥹🥹 Would you believe this babe if she told you this was her first time carving a pumpkin?!?!? Cause I sure didn't- I was SO impressed 👏🏼⁠ ⁠ Pumpkin head sessions can be booked anytime around the halloween season as they're considered a regular outdoor session in terms of package! You must carve your own pumpkin just to be sure it fits on your head!!! (Cause the 1 and only time I tried to do it we had to cut the pumpkin into a mask cause it was WAY too small 😂💀). 🕯️🖤THE FINALE🖤 🕯️ Of all my shoots this year, this concept tops the list for me 😭🦋 From hand making each and every moth to the way the outfits and location came together- It’s the one that reflects me and my style the best and AHHH I’m just so beyond thrilled with this one 😭😭😭 I can’t wait for you to see the behind the scenes of creating everything this year!!! 5 FREAKING YEARS. WOW. 🤯⁠ ⁠ 5 years ago when I decided to separate my boudoir work from all the other shoots I was booking at the time, I had absolutely NO idea that it would turn into the brand and the community that it has today. It is so incredibly important.⁠ ⁠ 🦋 Only maintain relationships/friendships with people that make you feel GOOD & up lift you. Your energy is a precious resource. Don’t waste it on those that bring you down.⁠ ⁠ 🦋 Wear clothes that make you feel comfortable, beautiful & confident. Clothes were made to fit your body not the other way around. Size up to feel comfortable, the number on the tag doesn’t matter. ⁠ ⁠ 🦋 Completely avoid using beauty filters that change your appearance and/or manipulating your body or face with photo editing. Relying on these to feel beautiful won’t make you feel more confident in the long run and perpetuate the narrative in your head that you need these to feel beautiful.⁠ ⁠ 🦋 Unfollow/Block/Mute people that make you feel like shit in any way shape or form. Social media is not that deep, there’s nothing wrong with curating a happy space on your accounts and removing anyone who doesn’t align with that. One of the most common questions I get about sessions is.. "Do I have to share my images online?" The answer- Absolutely not!! What (if anything) gets shared is COMPLETELY up to you and there's never any insensitive or pressure to share!!🖤⁠ ⁠ You have 4 options when it comes to your photos: ⁠ 💫 Full release - Any/all photos can be shared⁠ 💫 Partial release- Only photos you approve/select can be shared⁠ 💫 Anonymous release- Only photos that conceal your identity can be shared⁠ 💫 No release- Photos stay on my hard drive for no ones eyes but mine & yours ⁠ ⁠ A contract is signed by both of us with your chosen option if you do choose to release any images. I've said it before & I'll say it again- A bridal boudie sesh serves as WAY more than just a gift for your boo 💍⁠ ⁠ Most babes that come in for their sessions aren't super comfortable or used to having their photo taken, especially professionally with big scary cameras in their faces. ⁠ ⁠ SO I'd argue that doing a bridal boudie sesh not only gives you an incredible gift for your partner AND a massive confidence boost before the big day BUT also serves as a trial run. A way to shake off some of those camera nerves, because if you can do a shoot with an (almost) stranger pretty much naked...... your wedding photos will feel like a BREEZE! ⁠😉 ⁠ ⁠ Plus you won't be questioning how BOMB you look in those photos & will be able to be a little more in the moment, a little less in your head about the photos on your big day! 🥰⁠ ⁠ If you're thinking about a bridal boudie sesh you need 8-10 weeks minimum between session date and the date you need products IN HAND for! HIII it's meeeeeeee, just here to remind you that taking time for you, saying no to what doesn't serve you, putting your phone on do not disturb, doing what's best for you & protecting your peace ISN'T SELFISH!!!! 🫶🏼⁠ ⁠ SO often we get caught up in the hustle of everyday that we forget to take time to have slow, intentional moments. Something I'm definitely guilty of. ⁠ ⁠ Earlier this year I made a commitment to myself to slow tf down this year, to be more intentional with my time, to stop allowing every waking second to spent in/on my business. I'm convinced I'm still recovering from covid chaos burn out & therefore I'm not putting pressure on myself to fill every slot of open space in my calendar. For me that looks like taking on fewer clients this summer, creating just to create & spending every possible second outside with my bare feet in the grass- playing with my girls 🐶 & working on my gardens/ making my backyard the absolute oasis I've always dreamed of. 🖤⁠ ⁠ What does slowing down/taking care of your mental health look like to you?
